March 9th 2018 Actually had some very efficient service from Malcolm and Eldridge in the Hounslow Branch today. I was pleasantly surprised. They saw to my query quickly and efficiently and I achieved what I wanted to very quickly and left happy. Why can't all the experiences with SBOI be this good? Thank you both for your helpBy the way I haven't had a call back from yesterday as promised...March 8th 2018 Don't get involved if you need any form of sensible service. If you are expecting a service similar to other banks (Barclays, Santander, Halifax etc) you won't get it so stay away. You have been warned.Just to get a current statement and give instructions as to where I would like funds transferred to seems like a very simple request. It isn't simple for SBOI. I was told there is no other option that to visit a branch or put my request in writing. Due to my experiences with SBOI there is no way I am going to be writing to them to confirm my instructions as I doubt this will reach the right person and doubt anything will happen. Therefore I travelled 25 miles to the Harrow branch last weekend only to find out they close the branch due to cold weather. Not informed or updated and wasted a morning. Have tried to get a statement ordered over the phone but they keep putting me through to a TPIN automated system that doesn't work. They have tried it 8 times now and nothing happens and the call cuts off but the don't believe me and give no other choice. Called the Hounslow branch today but the number is not the Hounslow branch its a call centre that refuses to put you thorough to the branch and insists on a call back in 24hrs to the account holder to deal with your query.I'm forced to travel to the Hounslow branch tomorrow and take time off work. Who knows what will happen...
Woww!!! what an irony?? getting paid from people's tax for looting them.Please learn some banking practices/service/customer handling from UK Banks,if possible please give a 5000 crore loan to Mr Vijay Malliya,he is available somewhere at UK..!!
Went into Hounslow branch for info about accounts. Both floor staff and bank teller woman were rude, abrupt and incompetent about the investment products sold. I did a U-turn and took my business to a competitor. Please don't give this branch your custom because it will in my opinion be nothing but a massive headache. There should be an option for zero stars, what I do want to give them is 5 !
Anyone planning to go and open account. Please make sure u take an appointment. They dont even bother to listen to u if u dont have an appointment.
