There is not much to get excited about an asian grocery store but since the shop was renovated a while ago there is a buzz in the shop. They stock a good selection of Indian veg and spices at competitive prices. The only gripe I have is checkout can be prolonged and most times only one till open.
The shop is good well stocked but appalling service, I dont even know where to begin. First the butcher shop I asked for a half a kilo of lamb chops the butcher with the beard and whitish hair told me he cannot give me by kilo must take the full back shop piece that was like 700gr that is ok but i felt obligated to get extra meat , after I asked for a lamb shank same story he told me i either get full leg or half leg he cannot give me just lamb shank .... well at the end i got double the meat that i was supposed go get . I would have walked out but it was raining and my child was with me . Then the shop , no price mark and the lady on the till does not know the prices and she just charges me whatever she wants even some of it things I thought were unreasonable, like i was going to get a cleaning gloves without price so she told me 3.99 that i think was overpriced . She does not help with putting the things into the bag and just throws them . I had a few cans of coca cola and two cans fell on the floor due to the way she threw it , imagine when open the can what happened.... i do regular halal meat shopping but I wont be coming here . Unfortunately i was mislead by the good google reviews . I will stick to Aqqa halal meat and quality food .... even if its a little far than this shop i rather go where people welcome you with smile and when you say bye then answer not like the older lady who was attending me at the till this morning. Additional to the review today i went and open the meat and i seen the half lamb leg that was supposed to be it wasnt the butcher gave me mostly bones and not even a shank and they charged me 12 for half lamb leg.terrible i feel cheated I spend 30 in the butcher to find out they gave meat worth half ! Never again be aware of the butcher
Yes u can find any spices u looking for. Only when u get to the tills and someone they know is standing behind u in the que expect them to be served quicker than yourself even if u have been in the line longer and in front of them. So therefore u mean nothing u can just wait while a person behind u gets served first. Thanks but no thanks. Be professional at all times in business.
