One of the better Singapore lounges in their global airport network. Quite sizable with a number of different areas including a small kids area at the back. Has one full sized bar, two other areas for drinks and one area with a good variety of hot and cold food plus snacks. It's never been too busy when I've visited making for an enjoyable experience whenever leaving London.
Nice seats. Spacious. Quiet. There was an attended bar (I did not try it). Otherwise it was a coffee and water self-hosted. Better than many Americans lounges I have been in, but a lack of food is probably unappealing for a lot if travellers. I'd call this an OK place.
Ok selection of food at Breakfast , not the biggest but the eggs and Cumberland snags were very tasty and seemed good quality. The coffee us self serve from the machine and is very drinkable.Good selection of alcoholic drinks from the fridge and also beers on tap at the rather nice small bar area. Good selection of mens and ladies magazines. There is a kids play section with a TV in the back corner which is a fantastic idea , as we all know it can get hectic when traveling with kids. Toilets were clean and were quiet but could become very busy if a few flights were departing. No massage chairs ( I always look now as they are getting very common) or pods . Good experience and all the staff that spoke to me were polite and friendly.
I know this is the major hub for Singapore Airlines and is a really busy Lounge ( mind you I thoroughly recommend flying with them - the service in the air is exceptional ) but this lounge they don't have enough staff on the floor to clear plates / glasses - and the furniture is stained and looks grotty - not the image you want to create and to be remembered for. Looking at it from a business perspective address those 2 issues and I'm sure passengers will have a more memorable experience - customers are paying for this - deliver.
Nice, compact lounge in Heathrow Terminal 2. We weren't flying business but I have status so the helpful folks rang ahead to check if the lounge would let us in with two dependants and they would. The lounge isn't huge but makes great use of the space. There is a food area with sandwiches, salads and hot food. There's even an ice-cream freezer. Around the corner there is a bar and a large seating area. Down the back there are toilets and even showers. What really made it for us was a kids area in one corner - nothing huge, a small table with kids chairs, some toys, a wee bike, balls and a little tent, but more than enough to keep tired kids occupied for an hour or two.
