This place is a disgrace and the lady on the counter is pure evil... if looks could kill!!!
Would have been quicker for me to ride a punctured unicycle from Heston to Edinburgh than get served here. Lady on counter is painfully slow, has to give you the third degree even if you want a stamp, proudly announces that the long queue of people waiting since 09.00am will not be served as she is closing for lunch at 13.00. Don't even dream of tutting, that just makes her slower. @ 1 August 2018, suggest you start queuing soon if you want your Christmas cards to arrive on time.
Went here earlier to send a package, and the weight came out to just over 2KG, therefore a larger fee was expected however the lady insisted that the cheapest option was Global Value. I thought, "hang on a minute, I've actually sent heavier packages to this same address and paid much less."I explained to the woman that I was on the Post Office website, and it stated that a package of even 6KG would be just over 15 to send (see: screenshot), however she insisted "global value" was the cheapest option (she used the name of this service), however as I was trying to get to a quote page, I asked if I could get out of the queue if I could borrow a tape measure, so I could show them the Post Office option. She declined, stating that it's always sent as a 'small package', I kindly asked for the dimensions so I could show her the page I'm referring to, as she was about to press a key on the keyboard, she backed up and chose to decline. Strange?Her argument consisted of a notion that it is first through a different service, and when I was getting to the Post Office page this changed to "it's an online only service".She was stating that 41.82 would be the cheapest option to send a package to Poland.Turns out I was right and I should have been offered 15.49 (screenshot provided).It's funny, when you enter this post code into the page after the screenshot clippet this post office doesn't even show up. Constantly bad service being reported, maybe?The one on the High St, while a bit of a trek, is worth it for better service. This was a fair bit of walking for downright dishonesty.
